This isn’t your typical mid-90s luxury sedan owned by older generations; it has been transformed into something special.
Unveiling the Enhanced Features of the Upgraded Lincoln Town Car
In a recent interview, David Patterson (AKA ThatDudeInBlue) sits down with his good friend Zach, who has devoted countless hours to a vintage Lincoln Town Car project. Zach’s diligent work on the car includes various upgrades such as installing a manual transmission sourced from a Ford Mustang, C5 Corvette brakes, GT500 rotors, a Brian Tooley Stage 3 camshaft, and upgraded suspension components. He also faced the challenge of fabricating a new exhaust system for the car, which proved to be the most demanding modification of all.
Of particular interest to David is the LS engine swap performed by Zach. With the removal of the original 4.6-liter block, Zach has installed a 6.0-liter LS engine sourced from a Cadillac Escalade. To enhance its performance, Zach has incorporated various LS6 components, resulting in an estimated power output of around 420 horsepower. This significant modification has undoubtedly caught David’s attention and adds to the overall allure of the transformed Lincoln Town Car.
Revamped Lincoln Town Car: Unveiling Its Impressive Upgrades
In addition to its newfound performance capabilities, David notes that the Lincoln Town Car now emits a sound reminiscent of a Corvette, further adding to its allure. This car presents a fascinating paradox in various aspects. The comfortable and nostalgic 90s interior design, complete with brown leather upholstery, creates an interesting contrast against the remarkable power it now possesses.
In the video, David demonstrates the immense power of the modified Lincoln Town Car by flooring the accelerator, causing both occupants to be thrust back into their seats. While some purists may have reservations about having a GM powerplant in a Ford vehicle, it is clear that the combination works exceptionally well in this particular application.
Zach has done an impressive job transforming this ordinary sedan into a powerful 420-hp beast, showcasing that almost any car can be modified to enhance its performance. However, his modifications are not yet complete. He has future plans to install a turbo in the Lincoln Town Car, which is expected to take its performance to an even higher level.
